Can't get into your account? Here are the most common reasons and how to sort them quickly.
I'm not receiving a password reset email
If you've requested a password reset and the email hasn't arrived, here's what to check:
- Check your spam or junk folder — reset emails sometimes end up there.
- Make sure you're checking the right inbox. If you have multiple email addresses, try the others — you may have signed up with a different one.
- Wait a couple of minutes and try requesting the reset again.
- If it's still not coming through, contact us at yourfriends@goodtape.io with your login email and we'll get you back in.
I'm getting an "account not found" error
This usually means the email you're entering doesn't match what's on your account — either a typo, or you signed up with a different address than you think.
- Double-check for typos in the email field.
- Try any other email addresses you use — work, personal, or otherwise.
- If you signed up via Google, try the "Continue with Google" option instead of entering your email manually.
I signed up with Google, but can't log in
Good Tape supports both email/password login and Google sign-in — but they're separate. If you created your account using "Continue with Google," you need to log in the same way each time.
What to try
- On the login page, select Continue with Google instead of typing your email and password.
- Make sure you're selecting the correct Google account if you have more than one.
Trying to log in with your Google email as a regular email/password won't work if you originally signed up via Google — the accounts are linked differently.
I'm on a Business plan and can't access my account via SSO
SSO (Single Sign-On) is available on the Business plan and lets your whole team log in with your organisation's existing credentials. If SSO isn't working as expected:
- Check with your team admin that SSO has been fully set up on your organisation's side.
- Make sure you're using your work email address — the one connected to your organisation's identity provider.
- Try logging out completely, restarting your browser, and signing in again via the SSO option.
