Reading an invoice shouldn't be a chore. Here is a clear breakdown of what each section of your billing document means and how to ensure you receive it.
1. How to Receive Your Invoice
Before diving into the details, please note that invoices are not sent automatically by default.
* Action Required: To receive an invoice via email, you must activate this feature in your Billing Settings.
Stay Organized: Once activated, a PDF copy will be sent to your registered email address every time a transaction is processed.
2. Header & Status
At the top right, you will find the most critical information for your records:
Invoice Number: The unique identifier for this specific transaction.
Invoice Date: When the invoice was issued.
Invoice Amount: The total amount due.
Status: If you see PAID in green, your payment has been successfully processed.
3. Subscription Details
This section tracks your specific plan and billing cycle:
Subscription ID: A unique code for your ongoing plan.
Billing Period: The exact dates your current payment covers (e.g., Feb 2026 to Feb 2027).
Next Billing Date: When your subscription is scheduled to renew.
4. Itemized Charges
The table in the center breaks down exactly what you are being charged for:
Description: The name of your plan (e.g., "Professional").
Price: The standard cost of the service.
VAT %: The tax rate applied.
Discounts: If you used a coupon or promotional code, it will appear as a negative amount to reduce the total cost.
Amount Due: The final total after all discounts and taxes have been applied.
Timing is Everything: Add Your VAT Early
It is highly recommended that you add your VAT registration number before your subscription starts or renews.
No Retroactive Changes: Once an invoice has been issued and finalized, we are legally unable to "remove" the VAT or re-issue that specific invoice with a 0% rate.
Future Invoices Only: Any tax-exempt details added to your account will only apply to future billing cycles.
Pro Tip: If you're setting up a business account, double-check that your VAT number is validated in the system before you hit "Subscribe" to ensure your very first invoice is correct.
